In the morning of 8 August in Spoleto his Excellency the Monsignor Laurent Dabiré, president of the Episcopal Conference of Burkina Faso and Niger, visited our Association for a meeting with the president Loiacono. Discussed the terms of the request for collaboration from the Burchinabé church on the front of the aid to childhood (1-2 years of age) abandoned and collected by the charity of the Diocese where the bishop is titular. The region is currently under the control of the Boko Haram terrorists, an evaluation mission has been agreed upon as soon as the security conditions permit. The supply of medicines to the dispensaries managed by the local Church was insured by GSI Italia immediately. Another meeting in the evening of 9 August with the head of the World Health Organization, based in Geneva, already visiting the GSI Italia project in Kinshasa for street children in recent months. The meeting was asked by the high-ranking official Dr. Cinzia De Brito Procopio interested in the development of the action of GSI Italia in Congo in the sphere of intervention of the Association. The convivial meeting focused on possible collaborations between the Organization and the Italian Association in the African country.
