A NEW AMBULANCE OF GSI ITALIA FOR THE NIGHT AID IN KINSHASA
A second ambulance for the rescue of street children in the capital of Congo is arriving in Kinshasa with the container that GSI Italia is organizing in Modena, leaving in the coming weeks. To finance the expedition for our association is once again the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the good offices of UNHCR, the UN agency with operational headquarters in Brindisi.
The meritorious health aid association Croce Bianca of Foligno donated the ambulance to GSI for the Congolese street children. Our grateful thanks go to Croce Bianca for the availability and sensitivity shown in favor of our Association and its activity of international solidarity for the communities in need of the southern hemisphere.
The Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Kinshasa will be the intermediate beneficiary of our ambulance and it will provide for the customs clearance of the vehicle and the delivery of the same to the Congolese NGO O.S.E.P.E.R., historical partner of GSI Italia in the assistance and support activities for street children in the capital.
The new arriving ambulance will be added to the other one already donated by GSI Italia in 2018 to O.S.E.P.E.R. and will thus allow to cover the territory of the megalopolis in the difficult and often violent nights that street children have to face and often to suffer.
