A MEETING IN BUCHAREST FOR THE PROJECT PROMISE

The second meeting scheduled in the PROMise project was held in Bucharest from 15 to 17 April 2019, involving ten associations from many European countries that will face Roma problems on the side of the Roma for two years.

The participants discussed about the results of the questionnaires administered in each country to one hundred Roma and some experts of the Roma community on the use of the Romanes language, whose preservation represents one of the objectives of the project. The meeting ended with a visit to a Roma community.

GSI Italia was represented by Mrs Carla Osella of the association A.I.Z.O. of Turin, which has always worked closely with Gypsy families, in the belief that a concrete and constant presence in the places and homes of Roma and Sinti people is an essential condition for the profitability of the work undertaken.
