Mission to Ethiopia 2018

Three Italian doctors took part in a mission to evaluate the activities of the project “Prevention and treatment of uterine cancers” that GSI Italia has implemented with the funding of Tavola Valdese.

The meeting took place at the Ministry of Health on June 27th, at the presence of the president and the head physicians of the Universities of Gondar and Addis Ababa. Next to the president of GSI Italia, the Italian diplomatic representation in Ethiopia with two officials of the Italian Development Cooperation Agency. The issues of Ethiopian health care needs were addressed, in particular the high specialized training, cardiac surgery, hemodynamics, prevention and treatment of cancers. A HEALTH ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT has been prepared at conclusion of the meeting and the planned activities will start from September 2018.
