Leonardo da Vinci LLP

The Leonardo da Vinci program lies within the wider 2007 – 2013 Lifelong Learning Programme, established by Decision no. 1720/2006/EC of 15 November 2006 and, in line with its general objectives, it aims to:

  • Support participants in training and further training activities in the acquisition and use of knowledge, skills and qualifications to facilitate personal development, employment and participation to the European labour market;
  • Support improvements in quality and innovation in vocational education and training systems, institutions and practices;
  • Enhance the attractiveness of vocational education and training and mobility for employers and individuals and to facilitate the mobility of working trainees.

In this phase, Leonardo has a new framework based on different types of specific actions which share a common goal, which is to propose project-based interventions following quality requirements:

  • Mobility of individuals (placements and exchanges);
  • Multilateral projects on transfer of innovation and multilateral projects on development of innovation;
  • Expert and organization network based on specific topics;
  • Multilateral partnerships;
  • Preparatory visits for enabling potential partners to meet and submit their applications.
