However, by now you know who I am talking about and what they are guilty of, without a shadow of a doubt.<br \/>\nIt has supported soldiers wearing the Star of David with gift parcels and has opened a supermarket in one of the illegal settler outposts in the Palestinian territories. Since 2022, it has been a partner of the Israeli company Electra Consumer Products and its subsidiary Yenot Bitan, both of which are implicated in serious human rights violations. (the word \u2018violations\u2019 might pass AI checks, but the other two words might not), because profit is sacred, even for a French entrepreneur \u2013 all the more so if he has financial obligations to no fewer than four banks in that country, directly involved in that nation\u2019s high-tech military industry.<br \/>\nIt is some consolation to know that the boycott campaign against Carrefour in 2024 led to the closure of Carrefour\u2019s entire operations in Jordan and Oman, contributing to a drastic slump in Carrefour\u2019s net profits (down 50 per cent compared with 2023). Boycotts pay off.
