On 14 May 2026, on the eve of Nakba Day, tens of thousands of people marched through Jerusalem chanting \u201cDeath to the Arabs\u201d and \u201cMay your villages burn\u201d, with the financial and political backing of their government.<\/p>\n

The so-called \u201cFlag March\u201d is not a spontaneous demonstration by fanatics on the fringes of society.<\/p>\n

Participants are transported by bus from all over Israel and from settlements in the occupied West Bank. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich attended in person. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir led a group of Israelis into the Al-Aqsa area, waving the Israeli flag in front of the Dome of the Rock, a site sacred to Arabs, before posting on Telegram: \u201cWe have restored sovereignty to the Temple Mount.\u201d<\/p>\n
