The city of Kinshasa, the epicenter of this epidemic, has\nbeen quarantined with the rest of the country&#8217;s provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonetheless,\nthe activities of the first quarter were regularly carried out by our local partner\nCADLC starting from the official presentation of the project intervention to\nthe beneficiary population, local authorities and community leaders, in order\nto solicit their active participation, indispensable for the success and\nsustainability of the action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this\nfirst phase, 3 sources of drinking water have been rehabilitated in 3 locations\nof the Intswem group. Another 4 are under redevelopment. The beneficiary\npopulation has been made aware of the exclusive consumption of water from these\nsources and a committee has also been set up to supervise and monitor the built\ninfrastructures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\npopulation requested the support of CADLC and its partners for the creation of\na health center and a maternity hospital in Intswem.
