In times of cultural and political crisis, it is often theatre people who speak out openly on behalf of the public’s discontent. We have reported on De Niro’s condemnation of an America that fails to recognise and refuses to accept the truth; and today, it is the turn of Moni Ovadia, a Jewish ‘theatre artist’ who calls a spade a spade, who cries out in anguish to the world that the Jewish state is a Zionist and genocidal state. We would have expected the same from other Italian Jews. Honour and credit to the ‘theatre people’
